We’ve had a really busy few months and worked on exciting projects with existing and new clients. The Brighton Festival was on throughout May so we were involved with helping rig and de-rig at many venues around the city. One of the most gratifying moments was seeing the end result (after humping tons of equipment) at the Dr Blighty event, where the Royal Pavilion had spectacular projections on it. The crew have been toiling hard at Goodwood Festival of Speed, helping to build the seating stands and also helping out on various other stands. This year we were involved in Wild Life at Shoreham airport. We supplied day and night site crew, site runners and stage build crew. All the clients we worked with there were really great, they knew exactly what they wanted and how to get the best out of the crew, I really hope that we will be back there again next year. Apart from some of the bigger projects, we’ve worked on lots of corporate events and a couple of BBC programmes (Question Time and The Big Questions). Crew have spent a few weeks at the workshops of a lighting company, helping get jobs out to a deadline and learning new skills on the way! The next week or two sees the lead up to Brighton Pride with crew booked for the Pride Pleasure Gardens and Village Party. Other calls are pencilled in and I’m expecting to be challenged by the usual last minute panic requests!
